The rooms are located 15km away from the town, 28km from the harbour of Kithira and 24km from the airport, while the nearest beach is located in a distance of 5km away. The monastery of Panagia Myrtithiotissa, the protector saint of Kithira, is located in the west of the island and you should visit it, preferably in the afternoon hours. You can also visit the Historical Archives of Kithira that are nowadays located in the Castle of the capital town and are the second most important archives after the ones of Corfu, because they preserve records of the 16th century. There are also a lot of beautiful beaches that you can visit and explore like the beach of Agia Pelagia, Firi Ammos, Kalathi and Platia Ammos. Finally, you can reach Kithira by boat from Githyo or Neapoli where you will go by car, by boat from Piraeus or Crete and also by plane from Athens. |
